Note: - There are two options available to process ACA information in Sage. Follow the steps outlined in Section I to use the internal ACA Preparer Wizard to key in the information required to complete the 1094/1095 forms; or, you can use preformatted spreadsheets to enter and import 1094/1095 data into Sage. Section II guides you through the second option.
- When selecting the Print or E-file options, any E-file selection will result in Record or Draft watermarks on the printed forms.
- When it pulls the employees it will pull all the employees including the inactive employees.
Section I: ACA Preparer Wizard Note: If you wish to compile all of the necessary 1094/1095 employee data using the spreadsheet, skip to Section II of this article. - Select Employees & Payroll dashboard, click Forms, and then select Federal Forms.
- Under the Available Forms list, select the appropriate 1094/1095 form, and then click OK.
- You can either select to Import employee data from the Aatrix ACA Spreadsheet or the second option, I do not have a file with ACA employee data. I want to continue with just employee information.
- If continuing without the spreadsheet, click Next and continue through the ACA Setup Wizard to complete these forms.
Section II: Spreadsheet Note: Work with your accountant, CPA or tax professional if you're not sure of which form to file. In addition, helpful ACA information is available in Sage City. - Navigate to the Aatrix website, then scroll down until you see the section titled, 'Aatrix ACA Spreadsheets' on the bottom right to compile the data needed to complete the 1094 and 1095 transmittal.
- Follow the steps listed on the first tab of the spreadsheet, click the linked IRS instructions for additional help if needed.
- After completing the form, click the Export to ACA Preparer button on the Employee Information tab.
- Click Save.
- Back in your Sage company, from the Employees & Payroll dashboard, click Forms, and then select Federal Forms.
- Under the Available Forms list, select the appropriate 1094/1095 form, and then click OK.
- Click Browse button under the import option.
- Locate the export file that you saved in step 3 of this section, and then click Open.
- Click Next and the data will be imported from the spreadsheet into Sage.
- Continue through the ACA Setup Wizard to complete this process.
