How to use the Link Maintenance Utility

Note The Relink Files button is available only if the link path is broken. The files appear in red when the link is broken.

  1. Open Library Master, Utilities, Link Maintenance
  2. Select Link Type
    • Custom Office External Links
    • Memo Attachments
    • Office Template
    • Paperless Office Forms
    • Paperless Office Journals and Registers
    • Paperless Office Period End Reports
    • Paperless Office Reports
    • User-Defined Scripts
  3. Select Company and Module Code
  4. Select Refresh
  5. Select Display Broken Links Only check-box in the bottom-right corner
  6. Select the record you want to update
  7. Select one of the following
    • Relink
  8. Enter the New Location of attachment
  9. Select OK
  10. Repeat for any additional records

 

When there are tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of links involved, the Link Maintenance Utility isn’t the most efficient way to correct them, especially after a server migration. However, the Paperless Office log files can’t be imported into via Visual Integrator. Vote for this enhancement on the Sage 100 Ideas website.
