Set up and use Theme Codes and Desktop in Sage 100c

Cause
  • Changes to the Desktop and Theme Codes are only available in Sage 100c
Resolution
  • Changes to the Desktop and Theme Codes are only available in Sage 100c.  Don't confuse Sage 100c with Sage 100 Contractor (formerly Sage Master Builder)
  • Changes to the Desktop and Theme Codes aren’t available in Sage 100
  • Sage 100c isn’t available in Sage 100 2015 or before
  • Sage 100c is only available for Customers adopting the new Sage Subscription Support Plans

To enable or disable Role access to Allow to Modify Theme in User Settings:

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, Role Maintenance
  2. Select Role to be granted access for qualified users (as set in User Maintenance)
  3. Access the Security Events tab
  4. Expand Library Master
  5. Select "Allow to Modify Theme in User Settings"
  6. Click Accept to save changes

To designate Theme Codes for a company, and to Enable Company Specific Background Colors:

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, Company Maintenance
  2. Select Company Code for which settings will be made
  3. Access the Theme tab
  4. Select Theme Code if desired
  5. Set preferences for Enable Company Specific Background Colors if desired

To create, edit, maintain or delete Theme Codes:

  1. Open Library Master, Main menu, Theme Maintenance
  2. For Theme Code, enter or select a new theme code
  3. For Description, enter or maintain a new description if desired
  4. For Default Font, select from the dropdown list
  5. For Icon Set, select from the dropdown list
  6. For Window Color:
    • Select Background color (click the palette icon)
    • Select Frame color (click the palette icon)
  7. For Tabs:
    • Select Font Color
  8. For Primary Buttons:
    • Select Button Color
    • Select Font Color
  9. For Secondary Buttons:
    • Select Button Color
    • Select Font Color
  10. For Grid:
    • Select Row Height from the dropdown list
    • Select Alternate Line Color
  11. Click Preview if desired to review the changes
  12. Click Accept to save changes, or Cancel to discard changes, or Delete to delete theme

NOTE:

You can't delete, edit or maintain some default theme codes, like CLASSIC and STANDARD
