To set up a new sales tax ID

1. Select AR, Utilities, Sales Taxes, Maintain, select the New button.
2. Enter the Sales tax ID, Description and Account #.
3. Select Freight taxable to calculate sales tax on freight charges.
4. Enter the Sales tax rate.
5. Enter Cutoff amount if applicable (If needed, you can enter a maximum sales amount that’s subject to tax. This is a limit on the sales tax amount).

To delete a sales tax ID

1. Select AR, Utilities, Sales Taxes, Maintain, click the Delete button .
2. If the Delete button is unavailable, it indicates that the sales tax has a history.
