Description
Cause

You’ve exceeded your payroll tier.

Resolution

This message is to warn you before you attempt to run a Payroll Tax Calculation. After payroll tax calculation for more employees than the tier limit, the 45-day grace period can't be reset the payroll tier is increased. Payroll can be processed until the date noted in the error message. After that date, payroll can be processed up to the tier limit. There’s no second chance grace period. To increase your tier limit, call 1-888-721-8989 as soon as possible to adjust the payroll tier.

To verify Employee Payroll Tier, in Sage 100, click File, Run and enter *INFO

There’s an option to select Cancel in this message and return to Payroll Data Entry. Then delete the entries to prevent exceeding the payroll tier.

When the tier exceeded is questionable based on the calculation information:

  1. Customer Account #
  2. Contact Information
  3. Determine if the customer receives "The PR Tier has been exceeded," warning message, and still have 45-day grace period. What is the date in *info for exceeded tier count?
  4. Determine if the customer is attempting to do Payroll past their grace period and can’t proceed with tax calculation.
  5. Exact version and Update installed.
  6. Analyst to Verify correct product keys are activated (Library Master, System Configuration, Registration tab matches Fusion).
  7. Analyst to Use Sage 100 Key Validation utility to confirm "Employee payroll tier" count, located at Library Master, System Configuration, Modules tab and determine if this matches Fusion
  8. Call Sage 100 Support to open a new support ticket at (800) 854-3415. The analyst will need the following files:
    1. Sy_System.m4t
    2. Sy_ActivityLog.m4t
    3. Sy_metering.m4t
  9.  Use File, Registration from the desktop menu to access the System Configuration as shown below:

 NOTE: Users are to remain out of Sage 100 until the corrected files are replaced.
