Which files should I exclude from antivirus and firewall for Sage 100 Contractor SQL?

Resolution
All antivirus programs can exclude the files and folders from the antivirus scan. Configure your antivirus to add the following folders to the exclusions list on all Sage 100 Contractor machines:

  1. C:\ProgramData\Sage\Sage 100 Contractor SQL
  2. C:\ProgramData\Aatrix Software
  3. C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\Sage 100 Contractor SQL
  4. C:\Program Files (x86)\Aatrix Software
  5. C:\%LocalAppData%\Sage\Sage 100 Contractor SQL
  6. The network location of Sage 100 Contractor data. For example, [Installation Drive Letter]:\Sage100Con\Company.

Configuring Windows Firewall:

  1. Open Windows Control Panel, System & Security, and select Windows Defender Firewall
  2. In the left menu,  select Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall. 
  3. Verify Allowed apps and features show Sage 100 Contractor SQL Hosting Framework service and Private and Public options are checked.

 NOTE: If the service is not listed, you can add it by selecting the Change Setting and then Allow another app button at the bottom. Browse to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\Sage 100 Contractor SQL\ and add the Sage.CRE.HostingFramework.Service.exe service.

Important.  Ensure the following ports allow for open communication:

  • For Sage 100 Contractor licensing: Ports 48760 through 48765
  • For Aatrix software updates, forms, and reports: Ports 80 and 443
  • For Microsoft SQL Server and the SQL Server Browser service: TCP Port 1433 and UDP Port 1434
