Product language support

  • Use Sage 100 in an English-language environment only.
  • Enter and view all data using English-language characters.
  • Confirm you install the original OEM Sage 100 product designed for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Note: The Sage 100 or Sage 100c product sold in the United States and Canada isn’t the same as Sage 100 versions in other countries.

Operating system requirements

  • Use a Microsoft Windows English (U.S.) edition and regional settings.
  • Avoid enabling non-English language packs or regional formats.
  • Test system behavior after any Windows language or locale change.

NOTE:

Sage 100 doesn't support Non-English Windows editions and regional settings.  They can cause display or processing issues.

Unicode and character limitations

  • Avoid using non-English characters such as Chinese, Korean, or accented characters.
  • Use standard ASCII or English characters for all entries and file names.
  • Review imported data and scripts for unsupported characters.
  • Understand that unsupported characters can trigger program failures.
  • Example: Error #20 (Syntax Error) occurs when invalid characters disrupt command execution.

Third-party enhancement options

  • Evaluate third-party tools that offer multilingual interfaces.
  • Research vendors such as DSD Business Systems for language templates.
  • Use the Sage Partner Solution Source to find approved enhancements.
