Upgrading Timeslips version 2017 and newer

Resolution

Use the following steps for upgrading a Firebird version of Timeslips (2017 and newer) to a Firebird version.

Locate the Sage Timeslips download

  • Go to the Downloads page and select the required version.
  • Open Sage Timeslips, then select Help, Sage Support, Downloads and Updates.

NOTE:

Installation must occur on the server in a multi-license environment.

 Download and start the installer

  1. Close Timeslips on all computers.
  2. Save the downloaded installation file.
  3. Select Run or Open for the downloaded file.
  4. Click Yes at the Do you want to install Sage Timeslips? prompt.
  5. Wait for file extraction to complete without closing the window.
  6. Click Install Sage Timeslips.
  7. Click No at the Do you want to review considerations and advice regarding installing Sage Timeslips? prompt.

Complete the setup wizard

  1. Wait for the Preparing Setup window to appear.
  2. On Welcome to the Sage Timeslips Setup, click Next.
  3. Select I accept the terms of the license agreement, then click Next.
  4. Enter the activation key from the Product Activation email, then click Next.
  5. On Verification of Configuration Information, click Next.

Select installation options

  1. For multi-license installs, select Sage Timeslips Application Server files, then click Next.
  2. Verify the Destination Folder location, then click Next.
  3. Select Complete on Installation Type, then click Next.

Enter registration details

  1. Enter User Name, Company Name, Serial Number, and Account ID.
  2. Click Next to continue.
  3. Review selections and click Next.

Finish installation

  1. Close Outlook and all applications connected to Timeslips when prompted.
  2. Click OK to continue installation.
  3. Wait while the installer completes the process.
  4. On Select the locations for your Sage Timeslips, click Next.
  5. Click Finish when Setup Complete appears.

Update workstations

  • Open Sage Timeslips on each workstation and allow the automatic update prompt
