Use the following steps for upgrading a Firebird version of Timeslips (2017 and newer) to a Firebird version.
Locating Timeslips Download:
The URL for downloads is here: Downloads. You can view all downloads available and choose the download needed. You can also find this in the program under Help, Sage Support, Downloads and Updates
Downloading and Installing Timeslips Upgrades on Server/Single-Station
Note: Installation must be done on the server in a multi-license environment
- Close Timeslips on all computers
- Save the download
- Run or Open the downloaded file
- Click Yes to the Do you want to install Sage Timeslips? prompt
- Files will now be extracted. Do not close this window.
- Click Install Sage Timeslips
- Click No to the Do you want to review considerations and advice regarding installing Sage Timeslips? prompt
- The Preparing Setup window will appear
- At the Welcome to the Sage Timeslips Setup click Next
- Agree to the terms of the license agreement by clicking I accept the terms of the license agreement
- Click Next
- Enter the activation key from the Product Activation email and click Next
- On the Verification of Configuration Information window, click Next
- For a multi-license install select Sage Timeslips Application Server files and click Next. This window will not be shown if installing a single license version.
- Verify the Destination Folder location is correct, and click Next
- Choose Complete on the Installation Type window and click Next
- Enter User Name, Company Name, Serial Number and Account ID
- Click Next
- Verify the correct selections and click Next
- The caution message appears stating Before continuing the Setup procedure, exit all applications and programs accessing Sage Timeslips. Close Outlook and all applications that are connected to Timeslips and click OK
- The installer will show you the progress of the installation
- Click Next on the Select the locations for your Sage Timeslips.
- Click Finish when the Setup Complete appears
Installing on workstations
- Opening Timeslips on the workstations will prompt to update them.
