Replicator: How do I remove an existing Sage 300 CRE replicated database in Microsoft SQL Management Studio so I can start over?
Description
Note: If you have implemented Replicator in a 17.1 version of Sage 300 CRE and upgrading to an 18.1 version prior to 18.1.4, it is necessary to perform additional steps to clean the databases. Issues were resolved in version 18.1.4.
Please call support for assistance if upgrading to an 18.1 version that is prior to 18.1.4.

Resolution

If using replicator version 1.0 follow these steps:

Start System Administration at the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate server.

  1. Log in with Application Administrator permissions.
  2. Connect to the Microsoft SQL Server.
  3. Click on the Sage 300 CRE folder associated with the SQL database that you wish to remove to select it.
  4. Click the [STOP] button. Make sure the status in the Replicating column has changed to "Stopped" before proceeding with the following steps.
  5. Exit System Administration
  6. Start Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Connect to the appropriate Microsoft SQL Server
  7. Click the + sign to expand Databases
  8. Right click on the database you wish to remove.
  9. Select "Delete"
  10. Select "Close existing connections"
  11. Click OK
  12. If you wish to re-replicate this folder, start System Administration as outlined in Steps 1 - 4. Select the folder, then click the [START] button.

If using replicator version 2.0 follow these steps:

Start System Administration at the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate server.

  1. Log in with Application Administrator permissions.
  2. Connect to the Microsoft SQL Server.
  3. Click on the Sage 300 CRE folder associated with the SQL database that you wish to remove and select configure
  4. once configuration manager opens select connect
  5. under the company that you no longer wish to replicate and want to remove select settings
  6. in the bottom left hand of the table selection window select the "delete from configuration" button.
