How do I set up a licensing servers for Sage Estimating (SQL)?

Resolution
Launch the Estimating Configuration Wizard.

  1. The first time you launch Estimating on the Server (after the install) the Estimating Configuration Wizard launches.
  2. Select the "Change" button
  3. Enter "localhost"
  4. Select OK
  5. Select the “License Admistration” button
  6. Enter the Sage client ID: (Your Account number beginning with a 4 and 10 digits long)
  7. Enter your Registration name
  8. Select OK

Now you should see your license information.

Note: If you are seting up Multiple Licenses Servers, you will need to use License Administration to set up Multi-server licensing

Note: Connectivity to the Internet and your network is required!

Important!

  • The Sage license server should remain connected to the Internet for periodic validation of licenses.
  • The Sage license server must be available continuously to other network computers running Sage Estimating so that they can acquire licenses for your Sage products.
  • The Sage license server does not need to be on the same server as the Microsoft SQL Instance
