| How do I copy another user's process maps, shortcuts, or activity centers in Sage 100 Contractor SQL version 20 and later? |
Resolution | - Log into the company file as a new user who has no Desktop Process Maps (shortcuts).
- Click the Home & Resources Activity Center icon at the top.
- Click the Click here to edit your shortcuts link at the bottom of the activity center you want to edit.
- Click the System Menu tab on the left.
- Drag any item from the System Menu to the desktop area.
- Close Sage 100 Contractor/
- Go to the server and open Windows File Explorer.
- Navigate to the following on the server:
- [data drive]:\Sage100Con\Common\User Data\[Windows authentication name]\User Maps\
- Open the user's folder for the user whose process maps (shortcuts) you wish to copy from. This folder should contain *.map files (for example, Payroll. map, Projects. map, Service. map, etc.) representing the work center tabs across the top of Sage 100 Contractor
- Hold down the Ctrl key on your computer keyboard and click once on each *.map file you would like to copy.
- Right-click on one of the highlighted *.map files you have highlighted and select Copy.
- From Windows File Explorer, navigate to the user folder for the SQL or Windows login user you would to paste the process maps you copied into
- Rename the existing *.map files to *.map.OLD. You may delete or overwrite them if you wish
- Right-click anywhere in the folder and select Paste to copy the process maps(shortcuts) to the selected user.
Notes:- The subfolders that contain the *.map files will not be automatically created until the user modifies and saves the work center desktop in Sage. You can however manually create these subfolders, making sure the name of folders match exactly to the logins for Sage
- If the user you copied the process maps to is currently logged into Sage, they will need to log out and log back in to see the changes.
