Yes, as long as the records have the same Social Security Number, it will automatically prompt you to combine the records when processing W-2s. Besides the SSN, the records will also have to have the same Employee Name and Employee Address fields (City, Street address, State, and Zip).

1. In the W-2 preparer, you’ll receive the prompt, "Duplicate Employee (SSNs) records have been detected."
2. Select Yes to merge the duplicate records automatically.
