Note: Sage 50 Fixed Assets, Sage Fixed Assets Lite Depreciation for Sage 50 and Sage Fixed Assets Lite Depreciation can't customize the Asset List.

1. Turn on the ability to Customize the Asset List:
   1. In Windows Explorer go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage Fixed Assets\Depreciation, Depreciation Network or Premier Depreciation.
   2. Edit the FASACCT.XML (Depreciation or Depreciation Network) or ASSTACCT.XML (Premier Depreciation).
   3. Set the tag to true.
      Example: <ConfigSettingsEnabled>true</ConfigSettingsEnabled>
2. If so, in the same folder, check the file size for Configsettings.xml file. If the file size shows 0 kb, right-click the ConfigSetting.xml file, select delete. Click Yes when prompted.
3. Open Sage Fixed Assets and try to customize the Asset List again. Close/Open Sage Fixed Assets and confirm the changes saved.
4. If the changes still don’t save, close Sage Fixed Assets, delete the file. Right-click the FASACCT.XML or ASSTACCT.XML file, select delete and click Yes when prompted.
   Note: This will reset user preferences to the default settings.
5. Open the program. This will recreate the .XML files and the customization of the Asset List will now save.

Note: On 2019.1 and higher, the Configsettings.xml will automatically recreate when closing Sage Fixed Assets. If it doesn’t recreate or the version is older than 2019.1, run a repair install. For all versions, the product specific .XML files, FASACCT.XML or ASSTACCT.XML, will recreate on launch. If it doesn’t, then the user doesn’t have the rights for the program to run properly.
