Setting up a price code for an item

Price codes enable you to reprice standard database items based on their price codes or to report on items in a sequence of your choice.

To attach a price code to an item:

1. Open the Database Item window in one of the following ways:
   • On the ribbon, from the Elements group on the Data tab, click Items.
   • In classic view, click Database menu > Items.
2. In the Database Item window, display the desired item.
3. Click [Price Code].
4. Enter a price code (up to 20 characters).

Tips:

• Click to see a list of price codes.
• The Update Pricing by Price Code command lets you change prices of standard database items with the selected price codes and categories by a specified percent.
• If your external pricing service is TRA-SER Pro, do not include dashes (-) when you enter the price code number.
