Changing an existing variable:
- Open the Database Variable window in one of the following ways:
- On the ribbon, from the group on the Data tab, click Variables.
- In classic view, click Database menu > Formulas > Variables.
- Display the variable you want to change in one of these ways:
- Use the buttons () to scroll through variable record until you display the one you want to work with.
- Select the variable from the Variable List window:
- Click to open the window.
- Select the variable you want to change, and then click [Edit Variable].
Tip: You can edit variables "on the fly" from the Variable List whether you open it from the Database Variables window or from the Formula Tables or Item Tables window. - Make the changes you need.
To change the variable name, click [Rename], and then enter the new name in the Variable field. For more information, click on the title bar of the window, and then click a field or button. - When you finish changing the variable, click [Close].
