Changing existing work breakdown structure (WBS) values
- Open the WBS Values window in one of the following ways:
- On the ribbon:
- On the Data tab, click WBS.
- If you have both an estimate and the standard database open, select Estimate or Database, depending on whether you are editing WBS values for the estimate or the database
- Right-click the WBS code for which you want to edit values, and then click .
- In classic view:
- From the Database menu, click WBS.
- If you have both an estimate and the standard database open, select Estimate or Database, depending on whether you are editing WBS values for the estimate or the database
- Right-click the WBS code for which you want to edit values, and then click .
- From the spreadsheet:
- Right-click in a <WBS> column.
- Click Select <WBS> from the shortcut menu.
- In the Select <WBS> Values window, click [Edit].
Important: You edit WBS Code values for the estimate in this window. - (optional) To work with the work breakdown structures in the standard database, click the View Database List link.
- To change an individual WBS value:

- Double-click the Value field, and then type the new name.
- Change other WBS values in the same manner.
Tip: You can also import a list of WBS values that you previously exported. -
- Click [OK] to save your changes.
For more information, click on the title bar of the window, and then click a field or button. -
- When you finish, click [Close].
