To change the system of measurement for estimate quantities:Open the Estimate Settings window. - On the ribbon, from the Estimate Views group on the Home tab, click Settings.
- In classic view, click Takeoff > Estimate Settings.
- Click the Miscellaneous tab.
Select the Convert quantities to check box, and then select Metric or Imperial, depending on which system of measurement you want convert into. (If you select Native from the list of conversion systems, Sage Estimating makes no conversion, and it displays unconverted amounts in the conversion column on the spreadsheet.) Click [OK].
To show the converted units on your spreadsheet you will need to add the converted unit column to your Spreadsheet Layout. You can do either of the following options to add them: Option A: Open the Edit Spreadsheet Layout Details window. - On the ribbon, from the Estimate Views group on the Home tab, click Layouts, then click the "..." button corresponding with your Layout name.
- In classic view, click View > Spreadsheet layouts, then click the "..." button corresponding with your Layout name.
- Look on the list of columns for the name of your desired unit with an Asterisk (*) at the end of the column name. (For example: "Takeoff Quantity* " as compared to "Takeoff Quantity" )
- Click the "Visible" check box to add it to your spreadsheet.
- Click [OK] to apply the settings to this Layout.
- Click [OK] to close the Edit Spreadsheet Layouts window.
Option B: Right-click on the column to the right of where you want the converted units to show. (When you Insert a new column, it adds to the left of the column you click.) - Click [Insert...].
- Look on the list of columns for the name of your desired unit with (Metric) or an Asterisk (*) at the end of the column name (depending on the version of Sag Estimating)
- Click the check box, and then click [OK] to add it to your spreadsheet.
