Recommended configuration | - Sage Fixed Assets Network runs on the Sybase SQL database engine
- Once the Network Server install is complete: Share the SFAServ folder with full control to the local SYSTEM account. It also needs Read/Write permission to the Sage Fixed Asset user accounts on Sharing\Permissions and the Security tabs
- Sage Fixed Assets Network does NOT support Connecting across a WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network) or Wireless connection to the Sybase Service. While these type of connections will sometimes work, random disconnects and slow performance are common issues. Sage Fixed Assets Customer support can’t troubleshoot any issues connecting via any of the above methods. Sage recommends connecting via a Terminal Service to a Client which is Local to the Sybase Service
