| How do I change an employee's primary email address for Sage HR? |
Resolution | Once an employee has been uploaded to Sage HR, changing the Primary Email in Sage 50 will not change the Work email in Sage HR or change the employee's Sage HR login. The change has to be made in Sage HR.
To change the employee's primary Sage HR email address: - Log in to Sage HR. It can be accessed from within Sage 50 by clicking File, Sage HR, Go to Sage HR.
- In Sage HR, click Company on the left hand pane and then select the employee name.
- Under Work email click Change email address.
- Type in the New email address, check Send welcome email, and click Save changes. The employee will receive a welcome email to allow them to set up their account and log in to Sage HR.
- In Sage 50 go to File, Sage HR, Sync employees. It is highly recommended to click Create Backup and save a backup file before continuing with the sync.
- When ready, click the Sync button. The Sync Summary will show if any changes were made. Click OK to close.
- Open the employee record in Maintain Employees to verify that the Primary Email updated.
