Resolution

After you install the current Windows version of Estimating, use Estimating Tools to convert your DOS data files.

Start Estimating Tools.
From the File menu, select Upgrade Files.
Under Select the upgrade method, click Convert - For users of Precision for DOS.
Click [Browse] and select a database or estimate folder.
1. Note: Do not clear the following check boxes: Select all files in this folder, Convert sub folders, Make a backup copy of the selected files before upgrade.
Click [Next].
Answer the questions in the Convert Database Workpackages to Assemblies window and then click [Next].
Answer the questions in the Convert crews window and then click [Next].
Select the appropriate options in the Missing Classes/Resources window and then click [Next].
Click [Finish] to begin the conversion in the Conversion Options Summary window.
