WARNINGS: - Do not delete users or active sessions while users are using a Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate or Sage Estimating application. This can cause corruption to the data. Be sure to also close, stop, or disable any other software applications you use that interface with Sage 300 CRE or Estimating, such as TimberScan, Paperless, Office Connector, Tech Tool, etc.
- If you are on version 17.1 or newer and using SQL Replicator or Mobile Projects, you must stop Replicating before performing these steps. Refer to How to stop Mobile Projects Replicator (SQL Replicator). You will need to restart Replicating after performing the below steps.
Use Computer Management to unlock a file Have all users exit all Sage applications and any interfacing applications before performing the below steps. For Windows 2003 server: - Log on as the administrator at the Windows 2003 server.
- From the Windows task bar, click Start.
- Right-click My Computer and then select Manage.
- Expand System Tools and then expand Shared Folders.
- Select Open Files.
- In the Open File list, select the file you want to close.
- From the Action menu, select Close Open File.
Note: To close all open files at once, from the Action menu, select Disconnect All Open Files. - From the File menu, select Exit.
For Windows 2008 server: - Start, Administrative Tools, Share and Storage Management.
- From the Action menu, select Manage Open Files.
- Select the file and click Close Selected.
For Server 2012: You can either open the shared folders MMC snap in by running mmc, select File, Add/Remove snapins, then add Share Folders, or you can open Server Manager, go to Tools, and select Computer Management, then open shared folders. |
