Description

When you try to log in to a Sage product or service and 2FA enrolment is required, the Set up authentication button appears.

Resolution

If you've already set up 2FA with another method you can still move to Sage Verify. This would mean you can authenticate your logins by approving a notification, instead of entering a six-digit code.

For help with doing this, follow the how do I move to the Sage Verify mobile app article.

Set up Sage Verify

Follow the steps below to install Sage Verify to your mobile device, and set it up as your 2FA method.

  1. Go to the app store on your mobile device.
  2. Search for Sage Verify and install the app.
  3. Go to the logon page for your Sage product or service and enter your email address and password.
  4. Select the Set up authentication button, then select Continue.
  5. Open the Sage Verify app and scan the QR code in the login screen.
  6. When prompted, tap Allow on the notifications message.
TIP: Allowing notifications means you can authenticate your logons in future by tapping the Sage Verify notification. If you don't allow notifications, you can still log in with Sage Verify with a six-digit code.
  7. A message confirms you've added your account in the Sage Verify app.
  8. The logon screen now displays your Account recovery key. Take note of this.
NOTE: Note the recovery key and keep it safe. If you ever need to log in but don't have your Sage Verify app or the device it's installed on, you can use the recovery key instead.
  9. Select the checkbox beside I've saved my recovery key then select Continue.
  10. Select Continue to access the Sage product or service you logged in to.

You've set up Sage Verify as your 2FA method. When you log in to your Sage product or service in future, you authenticate it and log on using the Sage Verify app.
