Once the Premier Server install is complete: Ensure you share the SFAServ folder with Change and Read permissions on the Sage Fixed Asset user accounts on Sharing\Permissions and the Security tabs. Sage Fixed Assets Premier is supported on: - Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express SP3
- Microsoft SQL Server Express 2016
- Microsoft SQL Express 2017
- Microsoft SQL Express 2019
The recommendation is to have no more than 50,000 assets per company using SQL Server Express - Performance declines as assets in the companies increase
- SQL Express has a 10 GB hard limit on Database Size per database file
Sage Fixed Assets applications do NOT support clustered SQL Server environments. You need a single stand-alone instance of SQL to house the Sage Fixed Assets databases - The application doesn't support connecting across a WAN (Wide Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network) or Wireless connection to the MS SQL server. While these type of connections will sometimes work, random disconnects and slow performance are common issues. Customer Support can’t troubleshoot connection issues with any of the above environments.
It's recommended to connect via a Terminal Service to a Client which is Local to the MS SQL server. System requirements for TLS 1.2 support - See Microsoft Website and view TLS 1.2 support for Microsoft SQL Server. |
