Unable to add reference code in PR ACH file Line 1

The user is unable to find a field in Sage 100 Payroll Direct Deposit Maintenance. They want to add the bank's required reference code in the file header record (line 1).

Sage tested using all the fields available in the Direct Deposit Maintenance and Company Maintenance windows. Engineering confirmed that there are no fields that will populate the Reference Code as required.  Therefore, a program enhancement is necessary to allow setting the Reference Code for File Header Record, line type 1 (positions 87-94).

The enhancement is in Payroll Release 2.26.1 when available for download in mid-April, 2026.
