Summary
Sage 50 Cloud is able to look at your Local C drive. Browsing manually to the desired location on your local computer through the C drive can be difficult if you don’t know the path.
Resolution
Create a central folder and pin it to both your local and Cloud File Explorers.
- From your local desktop, open the File Explorer (yellow folder icon) from your Taskbar.
- In the left pane, browse to This PC and open the C drive.
- Right-click in a blank area and select New and then Folder.
- Give the folder a name you can associate with Sage 50 Cloud files, such as "Sage 50 Cloud".
- Right-click this folder and select Pin to Quick Access and/or Pin to Start Menu.
- You can create a Desktop shortcut for this folder by dragging and dropping the folder onto the Desktop.
- Close the File Explorer.
- Open the File Explorer for the Cloud: Open the Windows App and select either Sage 50 US Backup or Sage 50 US Data.
- In the left pane, browse to This PC and open the C drive. You'llsee the previously created folder listed for selection.
- Right-click the folder created previously and select Pin to Quick Access. This will add the location to the left pane when saving or exporting files.
Now, when saving or exporting files from 50 Cloud, you can use the Quick Access location to save files easily to your local computer. To access those files, use the pinned folder in your Start Menu, Desktop Shortcut, or Quick Access folder.
