Script host timeout error during button script execution

Summary

When using a button in Sage 100 to run a script, the user experiences a host timeout error upon running.

Cause

Behavior is under review by engineering.

Resolution

Engineering plans a fix for this issue in releases 2025.3 and 2026.0

Known Issue ID 119158

A pre-release fix is available for versions 7.30.0.0 to 7.40.2.0. Contact Support to request a pre-release agreement to sign.

NOTE:

Perform a manual correction to the sota.ini file on the server after you install the pre-release. Add the following line to the [Config] section:
ScriptTimeout=120000
