Extend Browser Session Time-out for Sage 300 Web Screens

Two options to increase the timeout:

Increase the idle session timeout in IIS

1. Open IIS Manager.
2. Under Server, select Application Pools, and then select Sage 300 Pool.
3. If you use a custom application pool, select the custom pool instead.
4. In the Actions pane, select Advanced Settings. You can also right-click the application pool and select Advanced Settings.
5. Under Process Model, select Idle Time-out (minutes).
6. Enter the timeout value in minutes.
7. Enter 0 to disable the timeout.

Caution: Disabling the timeout prevents IIS from disconnecting inactive sessions. Users won't disconnect sessions automatically.

Use a session timeout setting in the web.config file

1. Open the web.config file in the \online\web folder.
2. Search for SessionState timeout.
3. The default value is 20 minutes.
4. Increase the value to allow a longer idle time before Sage 300 Web Screens ends the session.
