How to eFile 1099 forms

How to eFile the 1099 form in Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

  1. Select Reports & Forms, Forms, and then select Tax Forms.
  2. Double-click Payroll Tax Forms.
  3. Select the appropriate [Year] 1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-MISC, or 1099-INT listed under the Available Forms section.
  4. Set the Filing period to Yearly, select the correct year and then click OK.
  5. The 1099 Setup Wizard window appears, select an option, and then click Next.
  6. Verify the Payer Identification Number is correct, select EIN or SSN, and then click Next.
  7. Verify Payer information, and then click Next.
  8. Select the appropriate Tax Preparer Type, and then click Next
  9. Verify each State and Locality authority or item is correct, and then click Next (the state tax account number is required to eFile).
  10. Select appropriate options on the Data Verification window, and then click Next.
  11. Select appropriate options on the Recipient Identification Numbers window, and then click Next.
  12. Select appropriate option in the Multiple Data Files window, and then click Next.
    • If you selected Yes to multiple 1099 data files, complete the merge process. When finished, continue with the next step.
  13. In the W-2/1099 Preparer worksheet, verify the information highlighted in blue, and then click Next Step.
  14. Continue to verify the highlighted information, and then click Next Step until the 1099 Printing and Filing Options window opens.
  15. eFile and/or print the 1099s.
  16. Select either Complete 1099 eFiling Service or Select My Own Options.
    • If you subscribe to the eFiling service, you’re able to eFile your 1099 and 1096 Federal Forms. If you would like your recipients to receive the 1099s electronically, there’s an added charge for that service.
  17. If only printing the forms, choose Select My Own Options, select the forms you wish to print, and then click Next.
  18. Verify your selections from the previous page, and then click Next.
  19. Select the appropriate option for divider sheets, and then click Next.
  20. Click Next for Review Data.
  21. Click Next Step at the top, and then click OK.
  22. Click Next Step. Repeat the process as necessary to review all forms. If you selected to eFile forms, the Aatrix Secure eFile window will appear.
  23. Follow the screen instructions to complete the process.
