How do I migrate a company shared in version 2020 to Remote Data Access in version 2021?

Note: Migration or onboarding from the legacy technology to the Sage account (cloud ID) will only display for companies opened in Release 2021 that were previously shared in the prior release.

  1. Click File, Remote Data Access,Start Migration.
  2. Select Yes, I am the right person on the Remote Data Access Migration window.
  3. Enter the user name on the Connect this company to your Sage ID window.
    • If you do not have users in the company, you will be prompted to Create Administrator. Choose your password and confirm.
  4. Enter the Sage account email address and password.
    • Complete the captcha, if required. The migration process will continue.
  5. Match Sage 50 users with their Remote Data Access email address.
    • Email address: Sage account used to access this shared company in a prior version
    • Sage 50 user profiles: User names created in the Maintain, Setup Security window.
  6. Click the Assign a Sage 50 username drop-down.
  7. Select Create a new user and click Continue.
  8. Enter a User name and Password for the listed Sage account email address.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Click Continue. A Migration has completed window will appear.
  11. Click Manage Users to verify the migrated user/Sage account IDs
    • Pause Sharing is required to access the User Security screen
    • The program will automatically pause the company with the Manage User button is selected
  12. For any other computers that also are setup to access Remote Data Access:
    1. Immediatly upgrade to the same version.
    2. When on the Welcome screen, select the option to Connect to a Shared Company to relink to your cloud data.
