How to change a benefit or tax payroll field name

How to change a payroll tax field or benefit field name in Sage 50 Accounting.

1. Select Maintain, Payroll, Reclassify and Rename Payroll Fields.
2. Highlight the payroll field you wish to rename by clicking the line in the Category column.
3. Select the Rename Field button.
4. Enter the new name in the New field name: field.
5. Select OK.

 NOTE: If needed, update the payroll formulas with the new field name for them to work correctly. If you don’t change payroll formulas, you’ll receive errors the next time you process payroll.
