The Application Object Model (AOM) doesn't display in any browser.

Summary

The Sage 300 AOM doesn't display in any browser, except Internet Explorer. Windows 11 no longer includes Internet Explorer.

Cause

Security settings block XML files from accessing local XSLT files.

Resolution

NOTE:

Sage is investigating this issue.

 Use the following workaround to open the AOM in Microsoft Edge:

  1. Start Microsoft Edge with the following command:
    • "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" --allow-file-access-from-files "file:///[path to folder containing AOM files]/Advantage.xml"
  2. Open Microsoft Edge Settings.
  3. Select Settings, Default Browser.
  4. Set Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) to Allow.
