Windows temporary files can interfere with Sage Timeslips performance and startup. Clearing Windows temp files and renaming the Timeslips temp folder often resolves these issues.
Delete Windows temporary files
- Press the Windows key and R to open the Run dialog.
- Type %TEMP%, then click OK.
- Open the Temp folder that appears.
- Press Ctrl + A to select all files.
- Delete all files that Windows allows.
NOTE:
Windows keeps some files open. Skip any files that won’t delete when prompted.
Clear the Timeslips temp folder
These steps assume Sage Timeslips uses the default installation path.
- Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Timeslips.
- Locate the Temp folder, if it exists.
- Rename the Temp folder.
If Timeslips installs in a different local path, adjust these steps to match that location.
After completing these steps, reopen Sage Timeslips and confirm normal operation.
