Reset window positions to resolve display issues

Resetting dialog settings or preferences restores the default window sizing and display behavior in Sage Timeslips.

Reset dialog and window settings

Use this option first to restore the default window placement.

  1. Click Setup, Preferences.
  2. Click Appearance.
  3. Under Dialog Settings, click Advanced.
  4. Select the specific area you want to reset.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When prompted, select Yes to reset windows and dialog boxes to their original sizes and positions.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Verify you can now reprint bills to display.

Cascade windows back into view

You can also reposition hidden windows manually.

  • Click Window, Cascade.

This action moves all open windows back into the visible screen area.

Reset the preferences file

If resetting windows doesn’t resolve the issue, recreate the preferences file.

  1. Close Sage Timeslips.
  2. Click Setup, Preferences.
  3. Note the preferences file name and location shown in the window title bar.
  4. Close Sage Timeslips.
  5. Rename the preferences file.
  6. Reopen Sage Timeslips.

Timeslips creates a new default preferences file, restoring display functionality.
