How to run payroll reports for closed years in Sage 50 Accounting.
Resolution
There are three types of payroll reports that affect the date range you’re able to pull.
- The Payroll Journal and Payroll Check Register
- The Payroll Journal and Payroll Check Register can be filtered for any date range.
- Non-calculated reports
- The following reports can pull information in the two open payroll years only. To pull old payroll data, restore a backup to a new folder. You can then run any of the following reports on the restored old data with no issues:
- Current Earnings Report
- Quarterly Earnings Report
- Yearly Earnings Report
- Payroll Register
- The following reports can pull information in the two open payroll years only. To pull old payroll data, restore a backup to a new folder. You can then run any of the following reports on the restored old data with no issues:
- Calculated Reports
- The following reports calculate tax information as the report is run, so they can only be run in the two open fiscal years AND you must also have a tax service subscription for the year you’re running the report.
- Exception Report
- Payroll Tax Report
- Tax Liability Report
- Vacation and Sick Time Report
