Summary
Error: "In order to run this report within Sage 50, you must call 1-800-336-1420 and update your subscription". This occurs when running a payroll report in Sage 50 Accounting.
Cause
- Annual or monthly subscription plan has expired
- Subscription data needs to be updated
- Unable to update subscription data
- The date range for the report extends into an unactivated subscription time frame
- Example: Running a Vacation and Sick Time report for the entire year 2024 when the subscription ends on 07/31/24
Resolution
Modify date range of report
- Make sure your program is activated. Go to Help, Sage 50 Activation, Licensing, and Subscription Options.
- If currently activated, just click OK to make sure your subscriptions are updated
- If prompted to activate, follow the prompts to activate online if connected to the Internet, or activate manually if the computer doesn’t have an Internet connection
- Determine your subscription plan end date by going to Help About Sage 50 Accounting.
- Also verify that your customer ID number shows correctly. If it shows the wrong customer ID, contact Customer Service through the Live Chat option because you may need a new serial number
- On the payroll report, select a date range that doesn’t extend past your current subscription plan end. There’s a grace period of 20 days past the subscription end date, so payroll reports can run up to that date.
Subscription expired
If your subscription is expired, renew your annual subscription by calling Sales at 1-800-336-1420.
