How to view aging, credit or ledger information for a customer

Description

  • Aging based on Invoice Date will start the aging category based on the invoice date
    • Example: If the first aging category is set to 30 days, then the invoice will show current until 30 days past the Invoice Date
  • Aging based on Due Date will start the aging category based on the due dateĀ 
    • Example: If the first aging category is set to 30 days, then the invoice will show current until 30 days past the Due Date

Resolution

Expand Accounts Receivable, Insights. Double-Click Customer Status task.

Note: The amounts shown consist of posted transactions as of the current system date.
Select a customer, and review the following tabs:

Summary

  • Click the links to drill down on details.
  • Aging information for the vendor can be updated.
  • The aging report can be printed from this window.

Credit

  • This tab shows the customer's credit history and credit limit.
  • Right-click the Transaction Summary grid to view the transaction history and to drill down on the transaction detail.
    Note: The Sales Orders link shows the total of all orders where a credit check approval was required. A value of zero indicates that the customer has not exceeded the credit limit for any orders or that credit checking is disabled.

Ledger

  • This tab displays open and closed invoices for the current A/R period.
    Note: To determine the current period, expand Accounts Receivable, Maintenance, and AR Setup. Double-click Set Up AR Options.
  • Payments and memos appear directly below the invoices to which they are applied.
  • Right-click a line item to drill down on the transaction detail.
  • Unapplied payments and memos are not shown on the Ledger tab. Print or view the aging information to view this data.
    Note: Users must have applicable security rights to use the drill down options and links available in customer status.
