Important Information on Payroll posting
- You can post transactions in the current open month, or in a prior month in the current quarter
- You can post FUTA and SUI tax to a prior quarter and year
Year-end adjustments
- When you post a prior year transaction to any revenue or expense account
- The system automatically moves prior year revenue/expense values to retained earnings
- You're done, unless you decide to reprint financial reports
- Make adjusting entries in the correct module
- For example, to adjust the cash account post through the Cash Management module
- Posting cash account adjustments direct in G/L doesn't post to your bank reconciliation
