    7. Click Create.
    8. Enter the Data Source Name created above in the Database Name box.
    9. Click Browse to find and select your POIVData folder.  NOTE: This can't be mapped network drive but a local drive path to the POIVData or ACData folder.
    10. Click OK twice and then click Test.
    11. A message Connection successful appears. Click OK three times.
  2. If you have terminal servers connecting to other servers containing Sage Timberline Office data, set up the Pervasive ODBC Client Interface DSN on the terminal server.

    2. Click the System DSN tab and then click Add.
    3. Select Pervasive ODBC Client Interface and then click Finish.
    4. Type a Data Source Name name.  NOTE: The Data Source Name must not contain any special characters. The first character can't be a number.
    5. In the Server Address box, enter the file server's IP Address from Step 1.
    6. Click Get DSN List and select the DSN created in Step 1.
    7. Click Test.
    8. A message Connection successful appears. Click OK three times.
  3. Open the Actian PSQL or Zen Control Center, depending on the version (Start, All Programs, and Actian PSQL 12 or Actian Zen 15).
  4. Expand Engines in the folders on the left to see your server name.
  5. Right-click Database, New, and Database.
  6. Enter the name of your custom ODBC/DSN in the Database Name field.
  7. Browse the network by clicking the (…) button near the Location field to select the POIVData folder or enter the path directly. For example, \\ServerName\TIMBERLINE OFFICE\Data\Construction Sample Data\POIVData\.
NOTE: You'll see the DSN Options section above the Finish button. It has a box checked for Create 32-bit Engine DSN, which creates an ODBC connection in the ODBC 32-bit Administrator.
  8. Click Finish.
