What installation logs does the Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate installation use, and where can I find them?

Installation logs for Accounting and Management Products and Estimating products 9.2.x and later

You can access log files in the Temp folder of the operator who installed Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate. You can access the Temp folder as follows:

  1. Log on to the workstation or server with the installation issue as the operator who originally performed the install.
  2. Open the Temp folder for the operator that is currently logged on the computer.
    • Server 2008/2012, Win 7/8, Vista:
      • In the Windows Start menu Search field, type %temp% and press ENTER
        OR
      • Browse to C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Temp

The following log files are available for Sage 300 CRE versions 9.2.0 and later:

Note: Starting with the 9.2.0 version, both Accounting and Management Products and Estimating Products share the same version.

Accounting Server log files:

  • Timberline Activation Dialog.log
  • Timberline Misc Products.log
  • Timberline Product Manifest Writer.log
  • Timberline Software Requirements Checklist.[DD.MM.YYYY].log
  • TsAccountingServerInstall.log
  • tsSetAccClientMsi.log

Accounting Client log files:

  • Timberline Misc Products.log
  • Timberline Product Manifest Writer.log
  • Timberline Software Requirements Checklist.[DD.MM.YYYY].log
  • TsAccountingClientInstall.log

Estimating log files:

  • EstminatingInstall.log
  • PE0720_InstallLog_[YYYYMMDDTIME].log
  • Timberline Misc Products.log
  • Timberline Product Manifest Writer.log
  • Timberline Software Requirements Checklist.[DD.MM.YYYY].log

Pervasive log files:

  • Timberline Database Configuration.[MM-DD-YYYY].log
  • Install.log
  • Versions 9.7 and later, located at C:\Users\All Users\Pervasive Software\PSQL\logs
