Can I use Sage to create a Record of Employment?

Follow the steps below to create a Record of Employment in Sage 300 CRE for the ROE site.

Description

When you eFile the ROE through Aatrix, you can see it on the Service Canada website after it's submitted.

You can address any issues with the filing and obtain your period numbers there.

Resolution

Add a termination date to the employee’s record

  1. Go to Setup, Employees.
  2. Enter the Employee ID and tab into the record.
  3. Click the Misc Info tab.
  4. Enter the Termination Date.
  5. Click Save, Close.

Print or eFile the ROE form through Aatrix

  1. From the Tasks menu, select eFile and Reporting.
  2. Select New Report and click Next.
  3. Select ROE Record of Employment, select a ROE Date, and click Next.
     NOTE: Confirm the ROE Date you choose matches the termination date on the employee record. 
  4. Select the employees you want to print an ROE form for and click Next, then click Generate.
  5. Enter a reason code in Box 16.
     NOTE: If you don’t know which code applies, see the ROE instructions. 
  6. Verify that the information is correct on the form and click Next Step and click Agree.
  7. Print your Employer Copy, and click Next Step.
  8. Click Print or click eFile for your form.
  9. If you haven’t enrolled with Aatrix, click Enroll to launch the Aatrix eFile Center.
  10. Click the Enroll link and follow the prompts to set up your account.
  11. Complete the steps to set up your account.
  12. On the Aatrix Secure eFile – EIN NOT ENROLLED window, click I have Enrolled and have my Login ID.
  13. If you have an account with Aatrix, the Aatrix Secure eFile – Login window will display.
  14. Enter your Username and Password and click Login.
  15. Follow the prompts to complete the eFiling process.
