Sage 100 Contractor installation stops on the Windows Installer Coordinator and doesn't continue.
Install of Sage 100 Contractor freezes on the Windows Installer Coordinator window with the message "Preparing for first use"
Windows Installer Coordinator queues concurrent installations to prevent resource conflicts, but loops indefinitely when processing nested MSI packages.
Enable Windows Installer RDS Compatibility
- Connect to the computer as an Administrator.
- Open the Windows Start menu, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.
- In the left pane, select Computer Configuration.
- In the right pane, open Administrative Templates.
- Open Windows Components, then select Remote Desktop Services.
- Open Remote Desktop Session Host, then select Application Compatibility.
- Select Windows Installer RDS Compatibility.
- Select Enabled, then click Apply, and OK.
- Reinstall Sage 100 Contractor.

This setting prevents the installer from looping when processing nested MSI packages.
The installation proceeds normally after you enable this policy.
