What order do Pays, Deductions, Taxes, and Fringes process in Sage 300 CRE Payroll?

Resolution

Processing order

 NOTE: The alphanumeric order is 1-9, A-Z. 

  1. Regular pays process in the order they appear on the check.
  2. Auto pays, including Cash Fringe Pays and Salary Pays process in alphanumeric order.
  3. Certified fringes process in alphanumeric order.
  4. Union auto pays and pre-tax union deductions process in the order they appear on the union table.
  5. Pre-tax non-union deductions process alphanumerically.
  6. Taxes process alphanumerically. It doesn't consider sequencing.
  7. After-tax union deductions process in the order that they appear on the union table.
  8. After-tax non-union deductions process alphanumerically.
  9. Union fringes process in the order that they appear on the union table.
  10. Non-union fringes calculate alphanumerically.
  11. Burden detail records get created.
  12. Workers' compensation detail records get created.

Using sequences

If you use the Sequence feature, the following records with no Sequence calculate first.

  • Auto pays (including Cash Fringe Pays and Salary Pays)
  • Certified fringes
  • Non-union deductions (both pre-tax and after-tax)
  • Non-union fringes
