Description
Cause
Utility Reports provide information on asset groups, history, user access/permissions, and security information to use in audits.
Resolution
Note: Utility Reports are only available to Single User, Network, and Premier editions of Sage Fixed Assets – Depreciation. There are no equivalent reports in Sage Fixed Assets Tracking.
To view Access Utility Reports in Sage Fixed Assets - Depreciation:
- Click System Administration, Access Utility Reports.
Alternatively: Go to View, System Administration, Access Utility Reports. - Click Next.
- Select the desired report, click Next.
- Select the database and/or company, click Next.
- Depending on the report: Select a Group, Date range, and any desired events. Click Next.
- Click Run Report.
Utility Reports listing and definition:
Asset Reports:
- Asset Group Definitions - includes names of all groups, group criteria, and sort criteria. It can be run for multiple companies within multiple databases
- Asset History Events - includes history events tracked for individual assets within a selected company. It can run for multiple companies within multiple databases
- General Ledger Codes in Use - includes information on all general ledger codes created within a company. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- History Setup - includes events that are tracked on the History tab of each asset. This is a system report, so no databases and companies need to be selected
- Smartlist Field Entries - lists SmartList entries, descriptions, and number of assets in each SmartList entry. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Template Listing - lists templates created for each company and all general information fields and values entered. It can run for multiple companies and databases
Company Reports:
- Company Setup (U.S. Only) - lists fields and options on New Company dialog and the information currently entered on the dialog. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Customized Reports Listing - lists Customized Reports, descriptions, and source report titles. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Database and Company Summary - lists companies within a database and related information such as number of assets and acquisition value per company. It can run for multiple companies and databases
Security Reports:
- Company Access by User - lists each user and the companies they have access to along with corresponding company profile name. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Company Profile Assignments - lists all companies and corresponding users for each database. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Company Profile Definition - lists company profiles within each company along with security access level for each company feature. It can run for multiple companies and databases
- Security Status - lists security status (enabled or disabled). It can run for multiple companies and databases
- System Access by User - lists each user and corresponding system profile. This a system report therefore, no database or company need to be selected
- System Profile Assignment - lists system profiles and corresponding users. This is a system report, so no databases and companies need to be selected
- System Profile Definition - lists of system profiles and their corresponding security access level. This is a system report therefore, no company or database need to be selected to run this report
