Service calculation options
Select the service calculation method that matches your accrual requirements.
Calculate service as of Accrue Through Date
The plan accrues through the specified accrual date.
Example: If the Accrue Through Date is 2/12/2025, the plan accrues through 2/12/2025.
Calculate service as of End of Last Month
The plan accrues through the last day of the previous month.
Example: If the Accrue Through Date is 2/12/2025, the plan accrues through 1/31/2025.
Calculate service as of End of Current Month
The plan accrues through the last day of the current month.
Example: If the Accrue Through Date is 2/12/2025, the plan accrues through 2/28/2025.
NOTE:
When you use End of Current Month, use a lump sum calculation method with a monthly accrual period. The plan accrues time through month-end based on employee seniority.
Calculate service as of
Previous Plan Year-End The plan accrues only through the previous plan year-end date.
Example: If you run Accrue Time on 2/12/2025 for an annual plan, the plan accrues through 12/31/2024.
Calculate service as of Current Plan Year-End
The plan accrues through the current plan year-end date.
Example: If you run Accrue Time on 2/12/2025, the plan accrues through 12/31/2025.
NOTE:
For previous or current plan year-end service settings. It's recommended using the lump sum calculation method in the Attendance Plan detail (General tab).
