Cause

T4 Box 14 Employment Income updates from the INCTAX “Earnings Before Deductions” field.

Resolution

Verify the report values

Confirm that the Tax Calculation Analysis report displays the correct INCTAX Earnings Before Deductions amount. If T4 Box 14 is incorrect, create an adjustment in Transaction History. [Writing Style Agent | Word]

Adjust INCTAX earnings

  1. Open Canadian Payroll, Tasks, Transaction History.
  2. Select the employee.
  3. Enter a date and description.
  4. Open the Taxes tab.
  5. Insert INCTAX.
    • Select Insert, press F5, and choose INCTAX.
  6. Complete the required fields.
  7. Enter the adjustment in Earnings Before Deductions.
  8. Save the transaction.

TIP:

Re-run the Tax Calculation Analysis report to confirm the updated amount appears correctly in T4 Box 14.
