Error: "The post process could not be started... (PJ1941)" posting transaction to JC

Summary

Transactions sent to JC are not auto-posing, and the following error occurs in Sage 300 CRE: "The post process could not be started. Transactions could not be moved from the New.JCT to the Current.JCT. You can post these items manually in Job Cost: Tasks Post Entries. (PJ1941) [PJ2013]".

Cause

Transactions sent to JC don't auto-post. A locked or open file can cause this.

Resolution

Post in Job Cost to resolve

  1. In Job Cost, select Tasks, Post Entries.
  2. Select Ranges to limit the batches that will post.
  3. Select Printer Setup to select a printer or print file name.
  4. Select Start to begin processing.
  5. Print and review the Post Entries report.
