Spawn Tasks Information

There are two basic methods of starting a task in Sage 100 ERP Advanced or Premium. Through the application server, or through the WindeX/spawn command.

Application Server - Spawn Tasks from Application Server is Disabled

• Default method of opening tasks
• Separate Socket for each task
• Robust, has reconnect logic

Spawn Tasks - Spawn Tasks from Application Server is Enabled

• Select in User Maintenance
• All tasks run through the same Single Socket
• No-Reconnect Logic, A dropped connection kills the task
• More network and system resource Intensive
