How to pay accrued vacation to an employee

Summary

In Sage 300, pay out accrued vacation by creating a separate timecard.

Resolution

  1. Create a timecard for the employee.
  2. Select the correct accrual code.
  3. Choose the Type of Payment.
  4. Depending on your accrual method, enter the number of hours and rate, or the total amount you’ll be paying.
  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each employee for whom you want to pay accrued vacation.
  6. Run Calculate Payroll.
  7. To confirm the figures, print the Pre-check Register Report. 
  8. To print the checks and post the batch, click Payroll Checks.
