Moving Sage to a cloud hosted environment
Resolution
CAUTION: Sage support can't assist with third-party products, hardware, report customizations, or state and federal tax questions. Refer to our Scope of Support for more info. Contact your Sage business partner, network administrator, or accountant for assistance.- Cloud environments are able to run Sage software
- Our scope of support includes supporting the Sage product only.
- We do not setup, configure, or troubleshoot any "Cloud" environments needed to run Sage Software. This would need to be done with an IT Professional.
- We highly suggest working with your Sage Certified Consultant or Business Partner for Implementation, Deployment, or troubleshooting the Azure environment itself.
- VPN connections are not recommended by Sage due to the unreliability of the connection to the Pervasive/Actian database engine
- If the VPN connections are abruptly disconnected from the Pervasive/Actian database then it can potentially lock files and damage the integrity of the data
- RDP connections are known to be reliable and work well with the Sage product
- VPN can be used to connect to the RDP connection and will be considered a "reliable" connection
