CANADIAN: Year-End update frequently asked questions (FAQs)

The program version will change upon successful installation of the year-end update.

The year-end update is available for download in mid-December and mid January.

Installation instructions are included with the year-end update.

The year-end update is available in downloadable format only.  This makes the update readily available without needing to keep track of a physical CD that can be lost or damaged.

Download the year-end update from another computer that has internet access, and then transfer that file to a portable storage device like a USB flash drive so that you can install the file on your computer. You can access the file download from any computer with internet access (home computer, public library computer, etc).

Redownload and reinstall the update by double-clicking the year-end update .exe file you downloaded.

An open Sage 100 Contractor program will cause the update to fail.  Close Sage 100 Contractor before you install the year-end update.

Federal and Provincial tax changes and government form changes are included in the year-end update.

Yes.  Software enhancements and fixes may be included in the year-end update.

Yes. The year-end update will include all previous updates and patches. You don’t need to install previous updates and patches before or after installing the year-end update

The year-end update will be available for only the latest version of Sage 100 Contractor. If you’re currently using an earlier version, start making plans now to upgrade before year-end.
